Blame it in on the Blog

How egotistic he was, thinking her blog was only about him.
And she, flattering herself with the idea the he constantly reads her blog.
He? He who doesn’t enjoy reading, he who doesn’t quite understand blogging.
They both made these lofty assumptions of one another, of their importance to the other. It was all in vain. Truth is these two didn’t belong together. It had nothing to do with the blog. They were two single people wanting different things yet too cowardly to accept that they weren’t good together. Fear of loneliness made them temporarily senseless.
As he text profanities to her, she realized he wasn’t the one. She didn’t respond, it would’ve been cruel. He was saturated by his fear. She just let him be and went on with her life, knowing the best revenge is a life well lived.
